Is there a dress code?

No, we want you to be comfortable when shooting, we would just advise that you dress for the weather and wear sensible footwear. If you are heading out on a Game Day however take a look at our etiquette & tip guide.

Can I shoot on Sundays?

We aren’t open for shooting on Sundays or bank holidays, our opening hours are as follows:

Monday | 8.30am – 5.30pm
Tuesday | 8.30am – 5.30pm
Wednesday | 8.30am – 5.30pm*
Thursday | 8.30am – 5.30pm*
Friday | 8.30am – 5.30pm
Saturday | 8.30am – 5.30pm

*From April to September we are open until 8pm on Wednesdays & Thursdays see Late Night Shooting for more details.

Do I have to be a member to shoot at E.J. Churchill?

No, everyone is welcome to shoot with us and we look forward to seeing you! We do have a range of memberships available which give you exclusive discounts and benefits and you can find out more here.

Can I just turn up and shoot?

If you have a valid shotgun license you are able to turnup during our opening hours and shoot the Claymate system. If you don’t have a license you will need to either book a caddy or a lesson with one of our instructors.

What kind of cartridges can I use?

We are a fibre wad only ground. We do make an exception for CPSA registered competitions only. A variety of cartridges are available for purchase in the lodge or you can email our cartridge specialist [email protected]

How old do you have to be to shoot at E.J. Churchill?

We welcome young shots from the age of 9 years old.

Do you serve food?

Yes! Food is available Tuesday to Saturday from 8.30am – 3.00pm. We serve a range of fresh, seasonal snacks to more filling lunches. Our bar is also open Monday to Saturday from 8.30am where a range of hot and cold drinks can be purchased along with crisps and chocolate.

Am I able to bring my dog?

Absolutely! Well behaved dogs are welcome inside the lodge and on the shooting ground, we do ask they are kept on a lead at all times and you pick up after them. Dog bowls and treats are available inside the lodge.

Am I able to access the shooting ground if I have a disability?

If you have accessibility needs, we have dedicated parking outside the shooting lodge with ramps into the lodge where there is a disabled toilet. The majority of the shooting ground is easily accessible and we are in the process of improving accessibility to the rest of the shooting layouts.
